WHES Single Phase Hybrid Inverter Protocol (RTU)The EPSherpa EMS communicates with this device over Modbus RTU on RS485. This device has no Modbus TCP interface, so an Ethernet connection cannot be used.
Run the communication cable directly from the VPP 485 port of the device to an RS485 port on the EPSherpa EMS.

The meter built into this inverter measures one phase only. On a single-phase grid connection it can serve as the grid meter.
⚠️ On a three-phase grid connection, install a separate three-phase grid meter. The built-in meter only sees its own phase and misses the power on the other two.
The built-in meter reports any grid power between about -100 W and +100 W as 0 W. This dead zone is fixed in the inverter firmware and cannot be changed with a setting.
