In the SCU interface:
- Go to "Maintenance"
- Go to "Comm Settings"
- Go to "PCS"
- Under "BMS: Number of devices" -> Set this to the amount of batteries / BMS systems that are connected.
The GRES-300-200 is a battery container with its own inverter. The EMS connects to it over a single Modbus TCP connection, to the container's industrial PC.
In the SCU interface:
- Go to "Maintenance" → "Comm Settings" → "PCS"
- Under "BMS: Number of devices", set the number of battery modules that are connected (up to 10)
- Set the PCS control mode to Remote. In any other mode the EMS cannot steer the container, and the device reports "Remote control is not enabled on the GRES-300-200".
When adding the device to the EMS:
- Choose SCU Protocol For GRES-300-200
- Modbus TCP port:
502
- Modbus address:
1
Good to know:
- The EMS steers the container as one unit, with a single power setpoint. The container divides that power over its battery modules itself. The modules are shown separately in the app, but they cannot be charged or discharged separately.
- PV connected to the container through PDMD modules is not supported.
